The Advancing Pianist: Technique Book 2 is designed for pianists who have completed The Advancing Pianist: Technique Book 1, or who are at an intermediate level.
The Advancing Pianist: Technique Book 2 contains technical exercises in major and minor keys up to four sharps and four flats.
The technical patterns presented are:
- Two and Three Octave Scales (HT)
- Blocked & Broken Chord Inversions
- Blocked & Arpeggiated Chord Progressions
- Two and Three Octave Arpeggios
- Harmonic 3rds and 6ths
- Octaves
- Duple vs. Triple
- Ornaments
- Dominant and Diminished 7th chords
